Why do you use Biodegradable Pouches?

We use this to ensure both product integrity and environmental responsibility.

These pouches are an excellent eco-friendly alternative, designed to break down naturally, reducing waste and our ecological footprint. We are committed to minimizing plastic use wherever possible.

Are your mushrooms organic?

While we are not Certified Organic, all our mushrooms are grown using natural, chemical-free practices. This means our crops are cultivated without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or chemical fertilizers. We prioritize sustainable growing methods to yield pure, high-quality ingredients.

Are your products suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians?

Yes, absolutely. All our products are 100% plant-based and are suitable for both Vegan and Vegetarian diets, as we use absolutely no animal products or by-products.

Ordering and Payment

Can I order in Bulk, or for Events/Resale?

Yes, absolutely! We welcome bulk orders for events, reselling, or corporate gifting. Please contact us directly to discuss your needs.

How long does a bulk order take?

The fulfillment time depends on the size of the order and the current availability of our raw ingredients. The estimated production and preparation time is 5 to 9 weeks. To avoid disappointment, we highly recommend placing bulk orders well in advance of your required date.

How can I pay for my order?

We process all online payments securely through PayFast, South Africa’s most reputable payment gateway. This ensures your banking and card information remains confidential and is never shared with or stored by The Cottage Garden. Simply follow the prompts on the Checkout Page to complete your transaction.

Shipping and Returns

How do you ship the orders?

We ship our dried mushrooms nationwide using PUDO, which provides reliable delivery and parcel tracking across South Africa. The standard shipping fee is R100 and includes secure packaging. The shipping cost will be calculated at checkout. Fresh mushrooms are delivered to our client’s doors in Johannesburg at an additional cost based on the distance. 

Can I return an item I don’t like?

We only accept returns for items that are damaged upon arrival or if you received the wrong order.

To be eligible for a refund, voucher, or replacement:

  1. The item must be unopened, with the seal intact, and in all its original packaging.

  2. You must report the problem within one hour of receiving the parcel.

  3. Send clear images of the damage/incorrect item via email to info@thecottagegarden.co.za or via WhatsApp to 081 672 9437.

  4. Once confirmed, we will cover the return shipping cost and process your resolution immediately.
